Convert Sony NEX-F3 AVCHD (MTS) videos to MP4 formats for editing in iMovie

With 16.1 Megapixels Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, 180 degree flip LCD screen, "Auto Portrait Framing" function which enables you to tilt the LCD back to self-portrat, the Sony NEX-F3 is a new entry level compact digital camera launched by Japanese conglomerate Sony. The Sony NEX-F3 which names after its predecessor Sony NEX-5N and Sony NEX-7, has a few distinguished features that we have to talk about.

First is the 180 degree flip LCD screen along with "Auto Portrait Framing" function, enables you to tilt the LCD back and self-portrait at various positions that you might not have tried before. This looks a bit not professional to some of the photo fans as normally DSLR cameras are serious about LCD and won't have such function, but on the other hand it shows that the positioning of the product is closer to mid and low end consumers who do play with self-portraits on one time to the other.
Secondly, the Sony NEX-F3 supports you to film videos with high quality AVCHD (MTS and M2TS) formats, with resolution reaching 1080p and 60i. It is far more than people's expectations as an entry level camera. However, as we all know many devices do not support AVCHD (MTS and M2TS) format and what if you want to import your videos taken by Sony NEX-F3 to your huge-monitor-devices such as Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Android Tablet, etc you will find troubles importing the videos because these devices support only a few formats such as H264, AVI or MP4.
